Following the true spirit of chamber music, pianists Jeri-Mae Astolfi and Holly Roadfeldt created duoARtia with the hopes of introducing audiences to the sonic wonders of contemporary music. Individually, Astolfi and Roadfeldt have promoted the works of 20th and 21st century composers for over three decades. Realizing they had a similar vision, the pianists decided to expand these ideas and follow a dream: to celebrate the gifts of the modern composer and to invite audiences to an ever-evolving aural experience.

duoARtia closely collaborated with composers between 2011 and 2013. Their performances brought duoARtia to the home institutions of these composers, which fostered a unique partnership between the duo and composers. With the pandemic turning the arts on its head (and many ensembles needing innovative rehearsal possibilities), whispers of collaborating once again are becoming louder. Georgia and Pennsylvania no longer seem quite so far apart…
